our house is falling apart.

Okay so if you haven't been following along with the many troubles that home-ownership has caused us..here is a little review.

All was well when we moved in until we used our Master Shower...turns out the sheet rockers nailed right through the pipes and we had some major leakage throughout our master closet and down through the ceiling of the lower level...
so this is the hole that resulted in the closet-thats the pipe that had nails running through it.
don't know if you can tell but this is the ceiling beam on the lower lever, it had a long crack running down the length of the beam and water dripped out every time we used the shower.. well it ended up cracking down the wall too..

anyways we finally got that all taken care of.. and then we noticed that our kitchen tiles were lifting and squeaking.

So we had the two worst ones replaced....well we thought everything was over and done..until the tile guys left and we noticed that they tiles they used to replace the squeaky lifted ones were about three shades darker then the rest of the tile in the kitchen!! sooo we had to go through this long process of talking to the home warranty people..having them over to see the tiles. and figuring out a plan..
The Solution: Since the tile c0mpany no longer carried the shade we needed we must re-tile the whole kitchen which would take about a week....yeah..

So here I am today blogging while there are jackhammers downstairs and dust flying all over the house... I'm just waiting for the tile guys to take a lunch break so I can run down there and snag some photos to put up and show you.. I can only imagine what it looks like down there.

annnddd I'm not finished.

To top it of our garage door fell off on Friday haha...so someone should be over to fix that today or tomorrow...
okay it didnt exactly fall off but it fell crooked..so it's not really on the hinges and it won't open or close it's just stuck crooked.. I better go take a picture of that right now in case they fix it before I get one..

Ohhh the joys of a new home :)

  2. When we get home we will compare our misery stories! In our first home, we had water come into our basement so that I had to puddle-hop to get the the washer and drier. (Water and electricity, I still have the feeling that this is not a good combination!) The builder said the developer did not put the drain field deep enough, and the developer said the builder dug the basement too deep. while I was in the hospital with Erika, Wayne went to the bank, slammed the keys to our new house on the desk and said "you can keep your !@#$%^%$# house". Well, I came home from the hospital with my brand new baby, they jack-hammered (well, actually Wayne jack-hammered) up the entire basement floor, threw the pieces out some very small and high windows for the nex two weeks. Then I had cement being poured down through the windows. Outside they were digging a new drain field around the house (we did not ever ask if this was legal or not!). Then, Our front windows leaked like crazy, and the builders reply was "Well, the sun is shining, so it doesn't matter now" or Well, it's raining now, so we can't work on them". I made a huge sign put it in the window that said, "BERNIE, FIX OUR WINDOWS!" We were about the 5th house in the subdivision, and this was not cool to have prospective buyers see, so needless to say, our windows were taken care of that day! Yes, we know the joys! But think of the fun (?) memories, how boring to just have common experiences. It is NOT the Jenson way, and for better or worse, you do have a significant amount of Jenson blood in you!!!!
